Co-Occurring Disorder Treatment
When mental health and substance use occur together, treating them in parallel produces better outcomes. Our integrated co-occurring programs address both at the same time, in the same place, by the same team.
High Focus Centers offers a hybrid treatment model which consists of both in-person and online telehealth services. With telehealth video conferencing technology, you can receive treatment and therapy from the safety and comfort of home.
Many individuals suffer from both substance abuse and mental health disorders simultaneously. The initial assessment at High Focus Centers is designed to identify the nuances that these clients present and offer a proper diagnosis so that the optimal treatment course can be pursued.
Our comprehensive program for individuals with dual diagnoses includes weekly psychiatry sessions, a specialized psycho-educational curriculum designed specifically for the co-occurring population, group therapy interventions and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) skills training. Clients with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders are also given random, supervised drug screens.
Outpatient co-occurring disorders treatment for teens
The co-occurring adolescent intensive outpatient program (IOP) at High Focus Centers employs a multidisciplinary approach addressing the needs of each client from both the mental health and addiction perspective.
Our team uses a combination of evidence-based protocols, and each adolescent client participates in both individual and group therapy. Daily DBT skills training sessions provide tools for managing impulsivity and improving relationships, while relapse prevention and psycho-educational groups strengthen client knowledge on both disease states.
In addition, our co-occurring adolescent IOP program also includes weekly family therapy as well as psychiatry sessions, where medication monitoring can be provided if necessary. Random drug screens are administered to closely monitor sobriety and compliance with treatment.
