Our Approach to Mental Health Treatment
Our mental health programs use a combination of evidence-based treatment approaches and supportive therapies to help clients build coping skills, improve emotional regulation and work toward sustainable wellness. Depending on the program and location, treatment may include individual counseling, group therapy, family involvement, psychoeducation, psychiatric services and skill-building activities.
Levels of Outpatient Mental Health Care
High Focus Centers offers multiple levels of outpatient mental health treatment. Following an assessment, our team will recommend the level of care that best aligns with each client's clinical needs, responsibilities and recovery goals. Available levels of care vary by location.
Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)
Partial hospitalization programming provides a highly structured level of outpatient care for individuals who need more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not require inpatient hospitalization. PHP may include individual and group therapy, skill-building and other therapeutic interventions designed to help clients develop coping strategies and emotional regulation skills.
PHP availability varies by location. Find a location near you to view available programming.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Intensive outpatient programming provides structured treatment with greater flexibility for school, work and other daily responsibilities. Clients may participate in individual and group therapy while building resilience, coping skills and strategies for managing their mental health.
Program schedules and availability vary by location.
Adult Mental Health Treatment
Adults experiencing mental health concerns may benefit from structured outpatient treatment that provides clinical support while allowing them to remain connected to their daily lives.
Following an assessment, our team develops an individualized treatment plan and recommends the appropriate level of care, which may include PHP or IOP depending on clinical need and location.
Adolescent and Teen Mental Health Treatment
Adolescence is an important period of emotional and behavioral development, and mental health concerns can affect relationships, school performance and overall wellbeing.
High Focus Centers provides age-appropriate outpatient mental health treatment for adolescents and teens. Depending on the program and location, treatment may incorporate evidence-based approaches such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychiatric support, family involvement and academic support.
Adolescent PHP and IOP programming may be available depending on location and individual clinical needs.
Co-Occurring Mental Health and Substance Use Treatment
Mental health and substance use concerns can sometimes occur together. Certain High Focus Centers locations offer treatment designed to address co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders through an integrated approach.
Availability and eligibility vary by program and location.
Support for Families and Caregivers
Recovery can also involve the people closest to the client. Depending on the program, High Focus Centers provides education, family involvement and support resources for parents, caregivers and loved ones.
