Learn at the Bedside of Outpatient Behavioral Healthcare.
Our clinical internship program supports graduate students with real-world outpatient experience and structured supervision.
High Focus Centers hosts graduate-level clinical internships across our outpatient locations. Interns participate in groups, individual sessions (as clinically appropriate), assessment, and case conferencing — with structured supervision from licensed clinicians who have years of outpatient experience.
What You'll Do
- Co-facilitate and observe evidence-based therapy groups (CBT, DBT, MI, relapse prevention).
- Carry an appropriately scaled individual caseload under supervision.
- Sit in on intakes and learn outpatient assessment and treatment planning.
- Attend weekly clinical supervision and interdisciplinary case conferences.
- Engage with family sessions and adolescent programming where applicable.
Who Can Apply
- Graduate students in clinical mental health counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related fields.
- Students from accredited programs with structured field-placement requirements.
- Candidates who can commit to the placement hours required by their program.
Supervision and Learning
Supervision is structured around your program's competencies — individual weekly supervision plus group supervision, with documented progress toward licensure-track skills. Many of our supervisors are LPC, LCSW, LCADC, or licensed psychologists with extensive outpatient experience.
